Helping Children, Families, and Young Adults Build Confidence, Connection, and Emotional Balance in Fredericksburg and Across Virginia
Hi, I’m Ashley Jordan, a Supervisee in Clinical Social Work who is passionate about helping children, families, and young adults navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, calm, and connection. I believe every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and thrive when they feel seen, supported, and understood.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from James Madison University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. My early career began in residential and school-based programs, where I supported children in continuing their education and developing emotional regulation skills. Over time, my work expanded to include family therapy and young adult counseling, allowing me to support clients through all stages of growth — from early childhood through adulthood.
who I Help
AshI provide individual and family therapy for:
Children managing anxiety, big emotions, or behavioral challenges.
Families wanting to strengthen communication, connection, and emotional safety.
Young adults working through codependency, perfectionism, or boundary struggles.
Parents looking for guidance to better understand and support their child’s emotional needs.
My goal is to create a compassionate, engaging space where clients of all ages feel safe, valued, and empowered to make lasting change.
MY Background & Approach
My approach to therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and experiences interact and provide practical tools to build resilience, confidence, and emotional balance.
I integrate Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Play Therapy, and Sand Tray Therapy techniques to help children and families process emotions in creative, developmentally appropriate ways. With young adults, I often focus on healing patterns of codependency, self-criticism, and disconnection, helping them build healthy boundaries and a stronger sense of self-worth.
Clients describe my style as warm, engaging, and grounding. My sessions are centered around empowerment, emotional awareness, and strengthening relationships — whether that’s within the self, between parent and child, or throughout the family system.
